We would like to inform all members that 12th Inter-Club Kendo Tournament will be held on 20th September.

This will be the first time NUSKK is opening the ICT to open categories, and we strongly encourage all interested members to sign up and take this opportunity to participate.

This competition will be hosted by NUSKK, please review the below information and inform us if you have any questions.

12th Inter-Club Tournament (ICT) will be taking place on 20th September 2026 at NUS Multi Purpose Sports Hall 6.

Please find tournament information and important points to note below.

Date and time: Sunday, 20th September 2026, 7.30am – 3.30pm (Individuals & Team)

Venue and Getting there: NUS Multi Purpose Sports Hall 6, 4 Sports Dr., Level 1, Singapore 117289 (view map). 

By Car: Parking is available at Carpark 5.

By MRT: The nearest MRT is Kent Ridge MRT or Clementi MRT. 

By Bus:  

  • Take the NUS Shuttle Bus A1/K/D2/P from Kent Ridge MRT and alight at Opp University Health Centre and cross the road. (Refer to bus.hewliyang.com/stop/KR-MRT for shuttle bus frequency timings) 

  • Alternatively, take bus 96 from Clementi Interchange (next to Clementi MRT) and alight at Opp Yusof Ishak Hse. From there, take the underpass to the University Sports Centre.

  • Women’s Individuals

  • Men’s Individuals

  • Women’s Team (2 dan and below) 

  • Men’s Team (2 dan and below)

  • Women’s Open Team

  • Men’s Open Team

Please note the following: 

  • Maximum 4 players per club for each individual category 

  • Maximum 2 teams of 3 players + 2 reserves per club for Women (2 dan and below) Team category

  • Maximum 2 teams of 5 players + 2 reserves per club for Men (2 dan and below) Team category

  • Maximum 1 team of 3 players per club + 2 reserves per club for Women (Open) Team category

  • Maximum 1 team of 5 players per club + 2 reserves per club for Men (Open) Team category

  • Total dan level of each team for Women (Open) Team must not exceed 9; 

  • Total dan level of each team for Men (Open) Team must not exceed 15.  

  • Players below 1st dan will each contribute 1 dan to the team’s total dan level.

Eligibility:

Open to members from Singapore Kendo Club (SKC) and SKC affiliated clubs only and are required to have the following criteria:

  • Officially registered membership of SKC or any of its affiliated clubs

  • Minimum age of 13 years old as of 20 Sep 2026

  • Current grade is 2nd Dan and below (Except for Open Category)

  • Must be in bogu

  • Alumni may play for school clubs if they graduated in 2025 or later. 

  • Players may play in multiple categories

Registration Fee: S$20 per participant

Volunteer Recruitment

In addition, we are looking for volunteers to help with:

  • Shinpan (Referees)

  • Court officials and timekeeping

  • Registration

  • Competition administration

  • Venue setup and teardown

  • General event support

We would really appreciate your support. Whether you can help for the whole day or just part of it, every bit helps and allows us to provide a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone taking part.
